School Profile

Haha`ione Elementary school is located in Hawai`i Kai, which is on the southeast side of the island of Oahu. Our school colors are green and blue as depicted in the land and sea in our logo. Our school mascot is the "Hawk". We aspire to soar high like the hawk.

History

The Haha`ione School community is part of the greater Hawaii Kai area which is the Honolulu School District. The Hawaiian word "Haha`ione" means "shifting sands" and describes the valley of years past when it was under water. The school draws its students primarily from the Haha`ione Valley and Kaluanui Ridge area. The boundaries of the area are Kuapa Pond and 6500 Kalanianaole Highway to the east, Maunalua Bay to the south, and 6200 Kalanianaole Highway and May Way to the west.
